Dublin Farmers’ Market is open on Thursdays, from Spring to Fall. It’s the best place to shop for seasonal fruits and vegetables, as well as other local produce such as honey, eggs or artisan cheese! The Dublin Farmers ‘Market is operated by the Pacific Coast Farmers Market Association, a non-profit organization that operates multiple farmers’ markets throughout the Bay Area. The goal of PCFMA is to empower local farmers and ranchers to thrive in their communities, while providing those communities with access to healthier, better food. All PCFMA markets accept EBT (Cal-Fresh) and WIC FMNP (Women, Infants and Children’s Market Nutrition Program Coupons).
It’s a really small-scale farmer’s market, but there are a wide variety of products available-fresh organic fruits and vegetables, bolani and spread / hummus, pastries, hot food pieces, etc. It’s inside Emerald Glen Park, which is a lovely open place. The vendors were very nice and helpful. Let your taste buds be your guide, as most vendors are offering samples. It’s such a joy to shop at this Farmers ‘ Market, as it has such an optimistic, cheerful vibe, and not too crowded. Wholesome spring / summer family activity, eating dinner at food trucks / hot food vendors after shopping. They still have monthly concerts.
One of the best markets around – great vendors, awesome food, and completely easy crowd – very kid friendly – almost exclusively families or couples are in attendance. There are still kite flyers out there that really add a nice visual to the whole thing. When there’s music, it’s always very good, and there’s a lot of players out there during the season. If you’re in the BBQ, there are two vendors that particularly stand out. First of all, Ofa ‘s Island BBQ-the very best chicken and kahlua pork. They can be a little hard to find, so just look for a big plume of BBQ smoke and then a 55 gallon drum made into what is obviously one of the best barbecues in the country. They’re running out of a converted trailer that’s right next to the BBQ. Right next to Ofa’s is the # 2 vendor who sells the killer cobbled corn on sick and baked potatoes.
