The Quarry Lane School is a Dublin (Alameda County, California) private college preparatory institution of academia and International Baccalaureate School that currently offers education to high school students from pre-school to their senior year. Dr. Sabri Arac, who presides over the school as Head of School, founded Quarry Lane School.
The Quarry Lane School was founded as an infant/toddler preschool by Dr. Sabri Arac in 1991 and was expanded into an elementary school on its original campus in Pleasanton, California. Dr. Arac opened a campus in Dublin, California, in 2000 to accommodate the rapidly growing primary school. Only for preschool students, the Pleasanton campus was open, while elementary students studied at the Dublin campus. In 2004, the second Pleasanton preschool campus, the Pleasanton West campus, was opened by Dr. Arac. In 2005, the Dublin Campus expanded to include a middle school and high school Upper School program, with its first graduating class being in 2010.
Dr. Arac began to take an interest in developing a college preparatory school while teaching at college level, which would incorporate his passions for science and mathematics, and prepare students for the 21st century. He envisaged a full educational path leading to a dynamic, high-level, secular, college preparatory school that would span through 12th grade kindergarten, provide cutting-edge instruction, and honor a core group of values. The establishment of The Quarry Lane School culminated in this passion and vision. Dr. Arac is committed to developing outstanding educational programs and strongly believes in providing a solid foundation for education and life experiences for students.
