Kolb Park is spread over 4.9 acres between Brighton Drive and Bristol Lane. Kolb Park features public art commissioned by the City of Dublin, in addition to the above amenities.

Area Picnic

Kolb Park has one picnic area that can be booked for (Picnic Area Site Map). The picnic area has 48 seats and two BBQs. By completing the Community Picnic Area Application, or online, reservations can be made. At the park, no inflatable jump houses or other equipment is permitted. The park also has another picnic area on a first-come, first-serve basis that is open. Note: On a leash, dogs are allowed.

Installation Of Sculpture

“Dust in the Universe,” by Eureka, California, artist John King, uses a “floor” concrete tile to reflect themes in particle physics. John comments that they are seen by many people as ancient hieroglyphics, Celtic designs, or Native American carvings.

For picnics and parties, it’s a great park. The benches and the sitting area were also shaded. So if you’re planning to plan a party in this park, make sure to get the city officials’ permission.

There is a lot of greenery where children are able to play and run around. There’s enough parking across the park. And, this park is next to a residential area, so there is adequate parking available once again.

There are two play areas, one for the younger set (2-5 years of age) and one for older children. In between, there are a handful of mini picnic tables to keep your eye on both play areas. There is a wide grass area surrounded by a trail every 50 meters or so with small exercise stations. There is something for everyone, leashed dogs included. The kids enjoyed the monkey bars, the immense slides, the fitness loop ring swings, and the rock climbing walls.

As with fitness equipment along the walking path, the park itself has some good seating around the park. It has a decent jungle gym for the children and even a smaller gym for the younger children. So they offer grills for bbq and plenty of space for your band.

There are also regular-sized picnic tables open, as is the covered picnic area on the opposite side of the park. There’s plenty of open space to allow you to run around, have an old-fashioned picnic, or just lay down like broccoli.

Tennis courts, scattered park benches, and a walking / jogging path are other prominent characteristics. It has been quick to find street parking. Beware of cars whizzing around the streets, particularly if you have kids!
