Pleasanton is blessed with an abundance of fun attractions for residents and visitors to enjoy. Here’s a short list of our favorites:

The Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park is the perfect spot for nature lovers to go. The park spans over 9090 acres and rests on a ridge that overlooks the beautiful Livermore Valley from a distance. It has intentionally been left untouched so as not to disturb its pastoral atmosphere, with an average elevation of 1,600 feet inside it’s boundaries in addition to being home to Oak-covered slopes overlooking all directions outside them too!

Rubino Estates is an estate vineyard with a focus on the Italian heritage of their grape varietals. They offer award-winning wines that range from crisp and refreshing Trebbiano to earthy Barbera, as well as elegant blends featuring both California and Italian grapes for complex yet smooth wine taste. Located just over one hour South of Napa Valley in Livermore, enjoy views galore while relaxing under the sun at this family owned winery full of character!

It is a wine tasting destination in Livermore Valley about an hour South of Napa Valley where the Valle dei Fiori is home to some of California’s best Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Founded in 1911, the Alameda County Agricultural Fair Association is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation that produces and manages the annual fair. They operate as an agent of Alameda county ensuring their long term viability while celebrating its heritage and diversity through showcasing agricultural activities from around our area. The association provides year round opportunities for facility usage to allow people to take advantage of all it has on offer!

Living in Pleasanton

Residents of Pleasanton are blessed to live in an area full of nature while also being quite close to city life.  There is never a shortage of coffee shops, parks or shopping centers to enjoy within a five-minute drive of Pleasanton. Residents are also able to enjoy a rich spiritual life at the following houses of worship:

Harvest Valley Church has had its doors open for over 40 years. It was established in 1980, and since then it’s made a big impact on the community of Pleasanton. Throughout this time they have been committed to teaching people about Jesus through various means including bible classes for all ages and gender as well as recorded worship CD/DVDs with original songs written by their worship leader Erik Perales. They also offer preschool lessons at Adventures In Learning Preschool or after school programs called Adventure Club that include transportation to our school so you can start your children off right from day one!

At St. Clare’s Episcopal Church, they believe in a loving, liberating God who wants to see all people have the opportunity for their life to be fulfilled and joyful. They are committed not only to an inclusive spirit but also embodying that love through their inclusion of women bishops as well as men into leadership roles at every level throughout this church community. Leadership is seen by us as a divine gift shared between clergy and laypeople alike regardless of sexual identity or orientation; because God loves you – no exceptions!

St. Clare’s Episcopal Church is a place where you will find people who believe in the God of love and acceptance, that believe all human beings are created equal – no exceptions. The church welcomes everyone regardless of sexual identity or orientation because they know from experience how much value this community strives to see each individual as having before their Creator, recognizing that we can’t truly care for something if it doesn’t have worth in our eyes first.

Parks, Schools & Other Points of Interest in Pleasanton

Pleasanton is also home to some amazing parks, schools, public libraries and schools for its citizens to enjoy.  These facilities are all world-class, beautifully maintained and clean so residents of surrounding communities often visit to enjoy them.  Here’s a short list all located in Pleasanton:

Augustin Bernal Community Park is a 237-acre open space community park that offers outdoor recreation and educational opportunities for visitors of all ages and abilities. Located on the top face of Pleasanton Ridge, it provides hiking, biking and equestrian trails with spectacular views while sharing large sections of its west boundary with East Bay Regional Parks’ Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park. The two parks protect valuable portions of what would be disappearing in California: a vestigial landscape!

Shadow Cliffs is a beautiful park that has been home to many memories. It’s only a mile from downtown Pleasanton, so if you’re looking for some fishing or swimming time with friends and family then this place will be perfect! There are plenty of parking areas as well as picnic grounds where everyone in your group can enjoy an afternoon together. The former gravel quarry was donated by Kaiser Industries and developed into Shadow Cliffs Park after receiving approval from the U.S Bureau of Outdoor Recreation which granted matching funds towards development of the park due to its assessed value being worth $250,000 at the time it was built in 1971 adding 266 acres onto what used to just be 80 acres before construction began there on October 20th 1969 when they opened.

When Foothill High School opened in 1973, it was one of two comprehensive high schools and a single alternative school for the Pleasanton Unified School District. Along with its 2,300 students today, this safe suburban community has an economic mix that reflects our student body’s diverse socio-economic status. In order to accommodate growing enrollment since opening day 45 years ago on September 12th (the first day!), voters have passed two bond measures – both in 2012!
