The Quarry Lane School, a private, secular day school, provides students entering preschool through high school with an academically rigorous and welcoming educational environment. At their three campuses, their ethnically varied student body consists of 900 students. A highly trained, skilled and knowledgeable team of over 135 teachers guides students. WASC, NCPSA and NIPSA have accredited the Quarry Lane School.
The International Academy was launched in 2007 in Quarry Lane’s pursuit of global education. The foundation of their International Academy is to provide English as a Second Language (ESL) support for their students who come to us from around the world. Students from China, Japan, Korea, Angola, Australia, Taiwan, Thailand and many other countries have entered the Quarry Lane group.
They have adopted the IB theory and curriculum, along with the program principles and procedures, as an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School. This program offers students the opportunity to engage in a globally-minded, academically rigorous curriculum.

“I can make a difference” is the guiding principle of The Quarry Lane School. Through this philosophy, they aim to fulfill their students’ emotional and educational needs and promote more social and academic discovery. In a learning environment that promotes self-esteem, encourages natural innovation and provides a strong academic base, their aim is to grow the whole child.
After school, Quarry Lane Robotics is offered for elementary and high school students. Using the LEGOs NXT robotics system, elementary and middle school learners explore robotics and improve their engineering skills. They expect to play in a potential contest for the FIRST LEGO League (FLL). Using the more complex VEX robotics kit, middle school and high school students strengthen and challenge their robotics invention skills. Quarry Lane Robotics Team 212 competed in the Northern California Area in its first year, 2007, in the FIRST Tech Challenge. Team 212 came 4th with a 4-1-0 record in the qualifiers, and ended as the NorCal Championship Semi-Finalists.
